The Margarita is a staple of the South Central Texas area. This recipe is for a proper margarita on the rocks. A good margarita should never be diluted by putting it into a blender with too much ice. To appreciate the flavors, stick to this tried and true recipe.
- 2 oz Silver (or White) Tequila
- 1 oz Cointreau
- 1 oz Fresh Lime Juice
- 1 oz Simple Syrup
- Lime Wedge
Using the lime wedge, wet the rim of a glass and dip into the salt. Combine the ingredients is a shaker with ice. Shake thoroughly and strain into the glass filled with new ice and garnish with the lime wedge.
