Quick Look at Cars for Sale
February 1, 2018
By Scott Lewis
This month it is really about classic cars with my Classic Car Watch article covering the 15 top classics on my radar. You should read it.
I didn't want you to think I had given up on a modern car, so here is a quick list of some of the top modern cars I am considering.
Please note, here I am only listing cars that would eliminate getting a classic. These are cars that cost so much that I would not be able to afford two cars. The simple answer to getting more than one car is to find a classic for about $20K and then get a 2002 Thunderbird or 1993-1996 Camaro Z-28. There is no need to show those here at this time.
Let's see what we have. All of these are on my AutoTrader wish list and currently for sale when I published this article. Take a look for yourself.
2012
Corvette Grand Sport, 6 Speed Manual, 43K miles - $31,195
Notes: Sweet. Love the Grand Sport for looking like a Z-06 but more drivable on a daily basis.
2010
Corvette Grand Sport, 6 Speed Manual, 49K miles - $29,995
Notes: A little cheaper, a little older and a little extra miles. But solidly in my price range and it is located in Texas. No travelling.
2011
Mercedes SL 550, 36K miles - $34,869
Notes: I little out of my price range, but something to negotiate on.
2009
Mercedes SL 550, 37K miles - $32,995
Notes: Right at the absolute top on my budget. A lot of car for the money.
2011
Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, 41K Miles - $32,480
Notes: 556 Horsepower in a Caddy. Oh Yea!!!
2015
Mustang GT Premium, 6 Speed Manual, 21K miles - $28,944
Notes: Lovely two tone leather interior (black/ceramic).
2011
Porsche Boxster, 6 Speed Manual, 30K miles - $29,999
Notes: Hey... it's not red. I do love the color though.
Conclusion
There you have it. Notice there are a lot of red cars here. I really want a red car for my next car, with blue a close second. Unfortunately, there are a lot of black, white, silver and gray cars out there. If I go the modern route... I may have to give up on color to get something more affordable (or closer to home for easy pickup).
But we have time for that.
